Felt animals: Sewing
In this 3 hour workshop,
children will learn to sew felt toys, using 100% woollen felt in beautiful
colours, come and create your new furry friend. Children are free to choose their project or try designing their own. morning tea is provided

Jewerlly Box and BeadingSOLD OUT
Create your own beads using fimo clay, each child will then paint and decorate a wooden box in which to keep their unique beads and jewellery. This class runs for 3 hours and includes morning tea We provide smocks but kids get messy, so its best to wear old clothes! Monday 10th AprilFabric Printing
Based on our term class, Frolic with Fabric. This is a class that teaches your child the art of fabric design and printing. We will design and print fabric using stencils, screen-printing, carved stamps. Using our creations we will make several book covers and sew an Easter egg hunt bag Mini Croquembouche Create a mini croquembouche: Learn how to make choux pastry, including a creamy crème patisserie (custard) filling, decorated with spun toffee or chocolate and sugar flowers. Hand sewing is a great way for kids learning to sew: Working with beautiful hand dyed felt, we will create creatures or dolls individually designed depending skill level and age. Back to basics (Bread, butter and Jam) Baking your own bread can be incredibly rewarding experience. Come and get your hands doughy at Inkwell Studio and learn to make brioche bread from scratch. In this class we will also make our own hand churned butter and homemade jam. |
Tuesday 11th AprilIce Cream Sandwiches
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream. Homemade ice-cream is a wonderful treat- in this not to be missed class, children will delight in mastering the art of ice cream making. Come along and learn to make your own ice cream and biscuits to create you own ice-cream sandwiches. Marbling In this class, we are painting on water! The art of paper marbling is the practice of manipulating floating ink on the water's surface, an ancient art form with historic roots in Asia, India, the Middle East and Europe. Delight and experiment in the element of surprise as the ink takes on a life of their own in the water. We will learn to transfer the work onto various paper and fabric to create one of a kind prints. Thursday 13th AprilEaster Wreath
Foraging fresh materials from Inkwell studio's beautiful garden, we will learn the basics of flower arranging and create a wild style floral wreath – perfect as a centerpiece for your Easter table. Wagon Wheels A little bit retro and very delicious, discover how easy it is to make Wagon Wheels at home from scratch. Bring your sweet tooth for this class! |
